Emma Hersh is a gender equity, organizational management, and business development consultant, curriculum designer and trainer, program developer, and community engagement strategist with 15 years of experience.
Her prior work includes leading projects for the GlobalGiving Foundation and Vital Voices Global Partnership as well as clients across the corporate, non-profit, multilateral, and government sectors.
While at Vital Voices, Emma served as lead architect in the design, development, and implementation of the VVLead Fellowship Program – a three-year, $2.5 million initiative funded by the UK government's Department for International Development (DfID) that evidenced the 72:1 multiplier effect of investing in women. During her leadership of the program, Vital Voices received top DfID ratings (A++) via the rigorous annual review.
Emma was elected to local political office in 2016 where she currently represents Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3C05 in Washington, DC. She earned her BA from Trinity University (TX) and MPA from New York University.
